Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer who is active in the fields of theater, film and TV. She started acting on stage before appearing in mainstream, independent and television series. She became famous as Miranda Shaw, a character who appeared on ABC's Quantico. On BET's epic show The Book of Negroes she played the role of Ariel. Not only did she be praised by critics for her character, she also received a few awards and nominations. Her debut on stage in the role of Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest. Her credits on stage include The Broadway performance that Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis.
